Married almost 30 years to Mark. We have 2 children, Hayley and Chandler. Both are nurses. I've been a nurse for 30 years, currently working per diem in the ICU at a trauma center in Burlington, VT. I have an interest in the Middle East as well as a passion for extensive travel to places not typically visited.
I enjoy my job, cooking, sewing, knitting, biking, swing dancing, and walking with my friends. But travel takes priority of all my interests. I travel to learn, to gain confidence, to meet new people, to learn other cultures, and consequently I find new passions. The ultimate souvenir is a broader outlook. By incorporating those lessons learned on the road, I am changed. I have learned that there is so much more to the "axis of evil" governments than the negative image drummed into us by our media and our government. I leave these countries impressed by what we have in common, not by our differences. As Mark Twain said: Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness.
