Piece 1035: Quarterly Meeting of Cheshire and Staffordshire:Cheshire (1631-1799), Frame 22</ref> He is the son of Edward Pearson and Sarah Burgess. Sarah's name is spelled Burgis on all English records of the time. His arrival date is generally thought to be 1687 however a ships register which includes him has not been located. His father Edward was notlisted on the ship Endeavor which carried his uncles Thomas and John in 1683. On 4 Jul 1705, Lawrence and Ann Cooper were given permission by the Falls Meeting to proceed in marriage.
