Lazurus Blashki was (the older twin of Joel) born 1859 at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. After his death, a newspaper obituary noted "Although twins, the brothers were not born on the same day, as Lazarus, the elder boy by 20 minutes, was born five minutes before midnight"[1].

Married Hannah Rich about 1884 at ?Victoria.[citation needed] 4x children.

He passed away 20 January 1944 at Prahan, Victoria.[2]. Parents; Phillip & Hannah Blashki. Spouse; not recorded. Aged 85 years (est. DOB 1859). At the time of death 1944 he & Joel were the oldest surviving Victorian born twins.

Research Notes
The report of Lazarus's death notes that he was the slightly older twin brother to Joel. However, Lazarus was born just before midnight and Joel just afterwards so their dates of birth are 1 day different.
