About Leland Grant Walker
Leland was a pilot in the air force and flew in Korea and Vietnam.. He retired to Anchorage Alaska and became a Real Estate agent. (See his obituary online). He and his sister were estranged for some years. Much as Lorna and Dougall were. He was a conservative and Military, she was a Quaker. They reconnected latter. When no bone marrow transplant was found for him in the US, and they began to look in Europe. He was said to say he did not want any socialist/commie donor.
