About Lemuel Hogun
On March 14, 1786, North Carolina issued Lemuel Hogun a grant for twelve thousand acres of land in Davidson County, Tennessee, near Nashville, as "the heir of Brigadier-General Hogun," who died in service during the Revolutionary War.
