About Lendall Pitts
Lendall Pitts, born in 1747, was an active patriot of Boston and a merchant. In addition to his role in the Boston Tea Party, he was the captain of a volunteered company, helped Major Barber and Colonel Proctor march the Indians back to town after the tea protest, and was an officer in Hancock’s cadets. He was an active Son of Liberty, member of the Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association, and a merchant prior to the war. He later died December 31st, 1787.
