Leon Ditzler Eisenhower was originally married to Sallie C. Eisenhower. Calculation speculates that she died shortly after giving birth to Albert Banks Eisenhower. Albert died one year later.
Leon then got married to Louise. They did not have any children. Leon's address in the 1890 City Directory was 1142 Snyder Avenue. He later lived on South Broad Street in Philadelphia.
A news item about Leon can be found in the Philadelphia Inquirer, dated November 12, 1896. It reveals that Leon was "exonerated in the death of his father, Joseph." Joseph Eisenhower's death certificate states that he died accidently from a blow to the head.
