Leesville Leader, Sunday March 10, 1985 LEONA JOHNSON Services for Leona Johnson, 82, were Satarday in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home. The Rev. Wallace Palmer officiated. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson of Leesville, died Thursday in Byrd Memorial Hospital. Survivors include two daughter, Noma Fanguy of Lake Charles and Berlie Parker of Simpson; one son, Marvin Self of Lake Chalres; two half-brothers, Bill Ferguson and Milton Franklin, both of Leesville; severn grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Leona married Henry E. Johnson, son of Walton (York) Johnson and Sarah Jane Bailey. Henry was born on 28 Feb 1905 in Vernon Parish, LA, died on 31 Dec 1970 in Leesville, Vernon Parish, LA, and was buried on 1 Jan 1971 in Marlow Cemetery, Vernon Parish, LA.

HENRY JOHNSON LEESVILLE, -- Funeral services for Henry E. Johnson, 65, were held Friday at Hixson Funeral Home chapel here. Burial was in Marrlow Cemetery in Cravens. Mr. Johnson died at 7:15 AM Thursday in a Leesville Clinic. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Leona Perkins Johnson; one daughter, Mrs. Nadine Abott of Livingston, TX; one brother, Charlie Johson of Beaumont; three sisters, Mrs. Russell Wingate, Mrs. Fronie Goins and Mrs. Lera Johnson, all of Cravens; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
