Leonard J. Bruski

Son of Thomas and Theresa. Brother to Mary, Catherine, Lucy, Rosa, and Frank. Husband to Mary Sieracki. Father of Sylvester, Angela, Leonard, and Febronia, known as Phoebe. Born in Lubnie or Brusy. Arrived to US in 1873. Married in 1900. Was in Spanish American War, 2nd Lt Volunteer 12th Unit Co E Infantry MN National Guard. Entered 28 Apr 1898 in Winona, 6 May Camp Ramsey, in the hospital 8 July to 1 September, out 5 Nov New Ulm. In Dec 1927 voted 1 year Trustee for 1928 for the United Spanish War Veterans. Some occupations he held were Surveyor, Postal Carrier, Alderman, Car Inspector/Repairer, Street Commissioner, also in various committees. Picture in Winona Polish Museum and the book, "The Kashubian Polish Community of Southeastern MN". Buried in the Bruski Family Lot.
