Leone M. [Brandt] Gitschlag passed away at her home in Yelm Washington Oct 20th, 2014.
Leone was born November 9, 1922 in North Dakota, the daughter of the late Albert and Louise (Gajewski) Wruck.
She graduated from high school in Omemee North Dakota and Beutel Business College in Tacoma Washington.
On Feb 14th, 1942 she married Walter Brandt. Four children Walter, Kathryn, Margo and Rigel were born and survive from this union. Other surviving relatives include Beatrice Brandt in Minot North Dakota, Lovetta Myre in Roundup Montana, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Leone worked for the Federal Government Entomology department and the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services as financial supervisor.
Her husband (Walter) of nearly 50 years passed away at the VA hospital in Lakewood Washington April 26th, 1991. She later married Calvin Gitschlag of Yelm Washington where they attended Yelm Prairie Christian Center. Calvin passed away Oct 10th, 2010.
Leone loved her family as well as fishing, knitting, flowers and rocks. Leone was very generous, strong and independent. She will be greatly missed.
