Lee was an only child. He had a minor bout with polio as a child. He became an electronics engineer. He worked for Hyman Emerson at Emerson Radio. He worked for Bill Lear at Lear Radio. He ended up as chief engineer at Air King Radio in Brooklyn. As TV became standard in most homes and RCA began producing color tv sets, CBS decided to enter the TV market. As they were late to the party, they decided to buy their way i to save time. They bought Air King, renamed it CBS Electronics, and moved the plant to Long Island City. Lee became the VP of engineering at CBS. For cost reasons and not wanting to look like they couldn't develop their own system they refused to license the RCA system. Unfortunately their color system, a tri colored spinning disc was vastly inferior to RCA's 3 beam electron gun system. Their sales never reached their goals. Eventually they sold the entire operation, factory and all, to Philco, I believe. Three or four years later Lee and our mom started their own business called Transdyne Corp.
In 1940, according to his draft card #3264, Order #1483, Lee worked for Carl Fischer Musical Instruments, Co. which was located in Cooper Square in what would much later be known as "The East Village."
On or about January 26,1937, as published in a Reno newspaper, there was a divorce decree granted to L.M. Kalisky from Lillian C. Kalisky. I'm not sure if this fact refers to "our" L.M. Kalisky or not.
