About Levi Lovelock
0 @NI122@ NOTE
Levi farmed at Aldinga and had an hotel in the Yankalilla district called "Two Storey" in the gorge bewteen Cape Jervis and Second Valley.
Before his wife's death in 1919 she recalled that the first tree, situated south of the jetty at Glenelg, was cut to furnish Thompson's Public House which was the first house in the state. Her seond brother lived with the Thompson's and her father helped fell the tree. Therefore she believed the present 'old Gum Tree' at Glenelg is not the actual tree of the landing of the "Buffalo".
After the death of her husband, Mrs P Lovelock lived with her son near Port Willunga, probably Thomas E. Lovelock.
