About Lewis C. Winslow
Lewis C. Winslow, 81, died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday in his home at 1100 N. Eighth. Mr. Winslow was born August 20, 1886, at Salem, Indiana, a son of John and Dianna Denny Winslow. in 1907 he married Deltha Bowling, who died in 1920. He married Margaret Johnson December 16, 950, at Monmouth, Illinois. He retired in 1953 after farming for many years west of Wapello. He was a member of the Eagles, the Izaak Walton Club, Senior Citizens, and West Hill Methodist Church. Surviving: His wife; two sons, Lawrence, Burlington, John, Wapello; two daughters, Mrs. Estes Hopkins, Wapello, Mrs. Harold Jones, Minneapolis, Minnesota; a brother, Elmer Winslow, Salem, Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Spaulding, Scottsburg, Indiana, Mrs. Ruth Harned, Mt. Pleasant, a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Prugh's chapel, the Rev. Raymond G. Walker, Aspen Grove Cemetery. Source: Find A Grave.com.
