Lieut. Samuel Lees Eldridge Lewis

Samuel Lewis was the son of Sarah Elizabeth Lewis and William Allenworth Lewis; husband of Emma Lewis (nee Rickman), of 118, Onepu Rd., Lyall Bay, Wellington, New Zealand. He is commemorated on one of the bells, given by his sisters and brothers for the National War Memorial Carillon, Wellington. Brothers Samuel Lees Eldridge Lewis, Tom Eldridge Lewis and Watkin Eldridge Lewis are commemorated on the same bell. Served as Samuel Eldridge Lewis; BDM registered as Samuel Lees Eldridge Lewis (reg. 1883/2493). Name sometimes misspelled as Oldridge. Source: Cenotaph.
