About Lieutenant Daniel Kelsey

fourth son and eighth child of William and Bethia Kelsey. Born at Hartford, he removed to Killingworth with his father in 1663, where he resided until his death. He married first (1672) at Killingworth, Mary Stevens. She died between 1683 and 1693. he married second Jane Chalker at Saybrook. Town of Killingworth granted him six acres of land for service in the "Indian War," (probably "King Philips' War)." He was probably Lieutenant of the "Traine Band." (from "The Kelsey Genealogy"
