Lillian Viola Burton

Mrs. Lillian Keefe Burton, of 109 Hillpine Road, Apartment 510, widow of Eddie James Burton, died Monday.

Born in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Garrett Greenlee and Lelar Viola Keefe Bowman. She was a retired owner and operator of Burton's Grocery and a member of Park Street Baptist Church.

Surviving a daughter, Mrs. Joan (Herbert) Wise of West Columbia, sons, James Burton of Columbia, Robert Burton of Kershaw and Kenneth Burton of Fairview, a stepsister, Mrs. Lessie Branham of Columbia, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Robert D. Montgomery.

Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is in charge.
