As published in the Canadian Jewish Review January 22, 1926 Clapham—Rosenthal The wedding was solemnized in the Pompeian room of the King Edward Hotel, Wednesday, January 6, of Lillian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Rosenthal and Donald Clapham, son of Mr. and Mrs, S. Clapham. The ceremony was held at the McCaul Street Synagogue which was decorated with palm plants. Rabbi J. Gordon officiated, assisted by Rabbi Jesse Schwartz and Cantor Herman. The bride's grandfather, S. Yolles, gave the benediction. The bride, who was given in marriage by her parentv entered the synagogue to the music of Mendelssohn's wedding march. She wore a white gown of crepe romaine studded with rhinestones. Her veil, done in Grecian effect, was held in place with orange blossoms. The bride carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses, lilies-of-the-valley and baby breath, and was attended by her sister, Miss Cecile Rosenthal, who wore a gown of pink georgette and headdress of silver buds. The bridesmaids were Miss Amelia Adler in a gown of rose taffeta trimmed with rhinestones, Miss Beatrice Clapham, peach georgette, trimmed with flowers, and Miss Freda Lewis, powder blue georgette, trimmed wfth gold lace. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of Columbia roses. Shirley Clapham, the flower girl, wore a pale pink taffeta dress with ribbon streamers, and carried a basket of lilies-of-the-valley. Lewis Yolles attended the groom. The groomsmen were: Leon Clapham, Moe Levey and Henry Corb. Dinner was served to 100 guests in the Pompeian room. Mr. and Mrs. A. Rosenthal, the latter in a gown of gold lace trimmed with red georgette and a corsage of Premier roses, and Mr. and Mrs. S. Clapham, the latter in a gown of black charmuese trimmed with silver lace and a corsage of Columbia roses, and the bride and groom, received 100 reception guests in the bell room which was decorated with palms and flowers. The out-of-town guests were: Mrs. M. Cohl, Miss Muriel Cohl and Mrs. H. Burnett, of Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. E. Evantash and daughter, Tillie, of Camden, N.J.; D. Stein and Miss F. Stein, of Hamilton; Mr. and Mrs. R. Cohen, of Windsor. Mr. and Mrs. Clapham left on their honeymoon for New York. Philadelphia, Camden and Atlantic City, the bride travelling in a rust ensemble with hat to match.
