Musial, Lillian Suzan Labash Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church at 6 p.m., May 3. Born in Donora, PA on October 1, 1920. Loving wife of her high school sweetheart, Stanley F. Musial, with whom she celebrated almost 73 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Dick Musial (Sharon Edgar), Gerry Ashley, Janet Schwarze (Marty) and Jean Edmonds (Dave). Dear grandmother of Jeff Musial, Laura Musial (Thomas Sachson), Natalie Musial, Tommy Ashley, Camille Pinkerton (Bob), Christopher Ashley (Jimena), Julie Linihan (Jeff), Brian Schwarze, Andrew Edmonds, Lindsey Edmonds and Allison Edmonds. Beloved greatgrandmother of Courtney Musial, Tyler Musial, Claire Musial, Lucy Musial, William Sachson, Heath Sachson, Caroline Murphy, Molly Murphy, Kate Murphy, Charlie Pinkerton, Clifford Pinkerton and Breck Pinkerton. She was known as Sugar to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Labash. She has one surviving sister, Dorothy O'Lenic, of Pleasanton, CA. Other siblings include Mary Adamusko, Helen Nagy, Anne Palm, Bill Labash, Monte Labash and Samuel Labash. Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and a true blessing and friend to everyone who graced her presence. Lil was involved in numerous charities throughout her entire life. She was a member of Delta Zeta, chairman of various events at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School and one of the founders of St. Louis Cardinals' Pinch Hitters. She was also devoted to Covenant House and a chairman of the CBC Fashion Show, among other important philanthropies for many years. A remarkable woman, Lil led an extraordinarily full and energetic life. Her great loves were Stan, her family, her Catholic faith, multiple charities and traveling. She was often referred to as the Mother Cardinal to the rookie wives and their children during Stan's career. She embraced and lived life to the fullest. The wake will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road. Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. on Monday at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. Burial private.
