Obituary for Lillie Maye (Williford) Milton:

Lillie Maye Milton, age 93, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Shepherd's Meadow in Floydada. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the South Plains Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Floyd County Memorial Park under the direction of Moore Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Mrs. Milton was born September 27, 1918 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to the late Dona Mae and George Andrew Williford. She married Grigsby (Doodle) Milton, Jr. on November 24, 1938. They were married 53 years until his death in 1991. They resided in South Plains community where she was active in the South Plains Baptist Church, Home Demonstration Club, South Plains Hobby Club, International Flying Farmers, gardening, and raising three daughters.

Lillie Maye is survived by her three daughters, Donita Daniels and husband, Glen of Olathe, Kansas, Barbara Edwards and husband, Bud of Floydada, Darla Chappell and husband, Jerry of Floydada; also by seven grandchildren, Jerry Powell of Floydada, Lisa Barnhill and husband, Jim of Lubbock, Carmen Wright and husband, Bill of Austin, Rusty Edwards of Odessa, Tyson Edwards and wife Kristi of Annandale, Virginia, B.J. Chappell of Valdosta, Georgia, and J.C. Chappell of Floydada; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother; a sister; and a great granddaughter.
