Brief overview:
Lizbi (20), was shot three times - her head, neck and left side of her body, at the Govan Mbeki Avenue-Albany Road intersection, in Port Elizabeth, around 22h30 on 1st January 2014.
The shooting was allegedly after she had an altercation with the driver of a black Volkswagen Polo she had been sitting in just moments before.
Lizbi suffered from drug addiction, and had been at a drug rehabilitation centre in George prior to her death.
Police said she was known on the streets as 'Alexis'. Police spokesman Stanley Jarvis said they were pursuing leads. “There are witnesses who have made statements that she had been working as a prostitute in that area for approximately two weeks prior to the shooting,” said Jarvis.
Jarvis said investigators had already established the number plate of the vehicle involved in the attack and how many occupants had been in the vehicle at the time.
