About Lloyd Rush Cornwell
In 1937 organized and managed the Cornwell Funeral Home and the Yell County Burial Association.
Lloyd R. Cornwell, age 38, of Dardanelle and owner of the Cornwell Funeral Home died at St. Mary's Hospital in Russellville last night at 11:45 p. m. after an extended illness. Mr. Cornwell was a life-long resident of Dardanelle. He was county coroner and had been nominated for re-election in Tuesday's primary.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Violet Cornwell; two sons, Sammy Lloyd, Michael Rush and a daughter, Carrol; a sister, Mrs. Reba Phillips; four brothers, Lamont, Gilroy, Gilbert and Ray; and his mother, all of Dardanelle. Funeral arrangements have not been complete.
