Lois Selfridge
Lois Selfridge, 71, of East Pearl Street died at 5:10 a.m. Friday in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 16, 1937, in Butler, the daughter of the late John Edwin Southworth and the late Florence Linnard Southworth.
Mrs. Selfridge was a nail and facial technician for several different salons in the area and also a caregiver for area families.
Mrs. Selfridge is survived by four sisters, Jean Campbell of Concordia Lutheran Home, Lillian Shearer of Eau Claire, Connie Brown of Butler and Sandra Southworth of Mount Chestnut; two brothers, Larry Southworth of Charlotte, N.C., and Richard Dale Southworth of Emlenton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Selfridge was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Gerald Selfridge, who died in January 2008; one brother, Jack Southworth; and two sisters Ruth Hilker and Madelyn Gillespie.
SELFRIDGE - Friends of Lois Selfridge, who died Friday, March 6, 2009, will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Bright, of Scrubgrass Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
