About Lon William Rush
Mr. and Mrs. Lon Rush and son, Richard, 1500 Grand avenue, will leave Thursday for Honolulu to visit Mr. and Mrs. James L. Busch. Mrs. Busch is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rush. They will drive to Kansas City where they will board a plane for San Francisco, CA and go from there by Pan American to Honolulu. Mr. Busch has been stationed at the U. S. Naval base, Honolulu, since last March. He and Mrs. Busch, the former Miss Mary Ann Rush, were married in June 1955 in Chicago, and were resident of Western Springs, Illinois prior to going to Honolulu. Mr. Rush, a native of Carthage, went to Chicago in 1927, and he and Mrs. Rush resided there until last August when they purchased the home on Grand Avenue and came here to live. Richard is a Carthage high senior. He will leave for Honolulu March 2 by plane to return to Carthage. Mr. and Mrs. Rush will leave there aboard the SS Lelani and arrive in San Francisco March 16.

Lon Rush CARTHAGE, MO - Lon Rush, 79, 1016 East 13th St. died at 7:37 a.m. Saturday morning at McCune-Brooks Hospital at a long illness. Mr. Rush was born April 19, 1906 in Carthage. He had lived in Chicago for more than 30 years, returning to Carthage in 1956. He was retired from real estate management in the Chicago area. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and Carthage Rotary Club. He married Emily Machac Feb14, 1931 at Chicago. She survives.
