About Loreta Saporito
Loreta came over from Lioni April 19, 1921, her father was Guglielmo Gioino. She stayed with her brother-in-law Angelo Soriano married to Michelina her sister living at Eight Street in Newark. She later married John Saporito and lived a couple of houses away based on the 1930 census. She lived to be a hundred.
Loretta Saporito, 100, of Orange died April 19 at home. She was a seamstress for the Bienjoli Garment Co. in Newark for 20 years before retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, New York. Born in Newark on Dec. 31, 1904, she lived in Teaneck and Nutley before moving to Orange six months ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Theresa; two sons, Arsenio and John J.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
