About Lorica Fredenburg
Married Alanson Frettenburgh (1805-1871) in possibly Rensselaer Co., NY. In 1838 they had settled in the Black Creek Region near Norway, Herkimer Co, with infant son Albert. Alanson & Lodicia were poverty stricken, and after his death, she, a few years later moved with Albert to the Town of Ohio, to move in on her sister Almira Davis. Later in life, she was accused and convicted with son Albert for the 1875 axe murder of Orlo Davis of Gray, her brother-in-law. Sentenced to life in Prison, she went to Sing Sing Prison for 8 years and was transferred to Brooklyn Prison just before her death.
