Lorne Laren Woodruff

Loren was given two free grants of land in Chapman Twp, District of Parry Sound in 1880. Lot 25, Concession 7 of Chapman Twp. was one of these. On the land abstract Loren is shown in 1881 as married. In 1888 he is shown on the abstract as unmarried.

Destamona is supposedly buried in Chapman Cemetery, but there is no tombstone showing her name. A death certificate for her was requested and the resulting response was that there was no record of a death registered for a person by that name from 1880 to 1889.

Loren married a second time in 1891 in St. Catherines, Ontario to Susan Augusta Shelly. Loren died at St. Catherines and is buried at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catherines. On his Death Certificate it states he was a fruit grower and lived at 30 Court Street in St. Catherines. He died of chronic bronchitis and heart failure.

Susan died in 1913 at St. Catherines and is buried in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
