Mrs. Lincoln Borglum Caller-Times News Service BEEVILLE - Funeral services for Mrs. Lincoln Borglum, 48, wife of the nationaly-known sculptor who completed the Mt. Rushmore National Memorial at Black Hills, S.D., will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Philip's Episcopal Church here. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum at Rose Hill Cemetery in Corpus Christi under direction of Galloway-Wilson Funeral Home of Beeville. Mrs. Borghum, a leader in Beeville civic affairs, died yesterday at her home after a short illness. A native of San Antonio, she was educated at St. Mary's Hall there and at Mount Vernon Seminary in Washington, D.C. She was married in 1937 and lived in South Dakota until she moved to Beeville about 10 years ago. Her father, the late A. C. Jones, was a banker, rancher and a large landowner here. Mrs. Borglum was active in Girl Scout and Red Cross work and in promoting the Bee County Library. She served as chairman of the Fine Arts Committee of the Rosetta Club of Beeville. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. James Pettus; a son, James Borghum, and her mother, Mrs. A. C. Jones, all of Beeville; two sisters, Mrs. W. M. Thompson of Richmond, Va., and Mrs. H. C. Hause of Beeville; a brother, W. W. Jones of Corpus Christi, and an aunt, Mrs. Donald Alexander of San Antonio and Philadelphia, Pa. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the St. Philips Memorial Fund, the Bee County Library or to a favorite charity. Corpus Christi Times, Tues., 11/26/1963, p8
