Obituary May 10, 1929 p. 1 Medina Gazette Sharon. Funeral of Mrs. Louise Hatch, 87. Mrs. Louisa Hopkins Hatch, 87, widow of Julius Hatch and on eof the oldest residents of Sharon, passed away at her home a mile east of the center Saturday evening. Death was caused by cancer. Funeral services were held at the home at 2 o'clock Tuesday, conducted by Rev. C. B. Etter of the Lutheran church, with burial in the village cemetery. Mrs. Hatch leaves a son, Eugene, of Port Angeles, Wash., who, because of illness, was not present at the funeral. Mrs. Hatch had been in the care of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Chapman of East Sharon, since the beginning of her last illness.

From Baskin and Battery History of Medina County, p. 794: WILLIAM HOPKINS, Sharon Center. ... To his marriage with Miss Goodwin, there were born one son and one daughter--H. H., born Dec. 1, 1836 and Louisa, born Oct. 10, 1841. These children are both married; the former to Betsey A. Kennedy, and the latter to J. C. Hatch.
