In 1913, Louise came to America from Germany on ship named the President Grant. She spoke no English and was given a tag to help her reach relatives living in Pittsburgh.
She married Edward Wirth August 20, 1920.
Of Louise's siblings, three others came to America: Adelaide, who joined her in Pittsburgh, and two brothers, John and Frank who headed to Oregon and entered into the fruit orchard business. Others remained in Germany.

Their parents were Leopold and Philobena (nee Walters) Enders. The family was originally from Bischofsheim an der Rhön, a town in the district Rhön-Grabfeld, in Bavaria, Germany.
