Mrs. Lucille Lawhorn McClintic, age 92, of Clifton Forge, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at the Woodlands, Clifton Forge. She was the wife of the late Ernest Jack McClintic. Mrs. McClintic was born March 28, 1920 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late William Walker Lawhorn and Lucinda Wilmer Lawhorn. She was a resident of this community since 1927 and was a former employee of the Industrial Rayon. She was also employed by the former Hercules and had been a waitress at Reid's Grill and Uncle Tom's Cabin for a number of years. Mrs. McClintic was a member of Calvary Christian Church. She was an avid TV watcher and was a very loving and caring person to everyone. Mrs. McClintic is survived by two daughters, Dreama Paige Halterman of Berryville and Brenda Joyce Woods and husband, Lewie J. Woods of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Rhodes of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McClintic was preceded in death by six brothers, Myers Lawhorn, Robey Lawhorn, Chuncey Lawhorn, Maynard Lawhorn, her twin brother, Donald Lawhorn, and Clifton Lawhorn and four sisters, Flossie Feury, Cammie Gibson, Josephine Lawhorn and Marie Mitchell.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Virgil Woodie officiating. Pallbearers will be H.C Rhodes, Lewis Linkenhoker, Ray Rodgers, Bryan Monroe, Dale Pauley, Jeremiah Pauley and Jimmy Woods.

Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Loving Funeral Home by 1:15 P.M. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. until service time at Loving Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home; www.lovingfuneralhome1913.com.
