    Luke was born circa 1680 at Northampton Co, VA. Luke was named in his father's will on 10 February 1704 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as a son Luke in the will of Thomas Johnson, wife Mary. He was given the northward part of my Old Neck land bounded by the part where the house of my son Thomas now stands and Holly Bush Gutt..1 Luke witnessed a will on 23 October 1717 at Northampton Co, VA.2 He married Mary (<nowiki>-----</nowiki>) circa 1718.3 He made a will on 26 November 1733 at Northampton Co, VA. To my dau. Rhodea 500#t. To my eight children, viz., Josiah, Sarah, Luke, Mary, Anne, Keziah, Obediah and Amos £4 to be eq. div. at their lawful age or marriage. To my loving wife Mary the use of remaining estate during her widowhood to bring up and educate my children. My two sons Obediah and Amos to be learned to read and write and do arithmetick as far as the rule of three. My friends Thomas Marshall, George Nicholas Turner, Dingley Gray and John Kitson to act as trustees. If my wife dies or marries before children are educated then trustees to hire out my n.
