About Luke Nelson Nattrass

Notes from a descendent:

My Great grandfather (Luke Nelson's father, Luke) came from England and was employed by the NZ COY as an investigator for immigration in 1840. His wife was a French refugee, her name was Marie Antionette.

It is possible that the name came from N. France, My great Grandfathers name was Luke, he was one of 4 brothers Mathew, Mark, Luke & John. His son, my grandfather was named Nelson Luke as he was the first white man born in Nelson NZ. If you require more information the Mormons have a computer library which is readily available to anyone."
