FIGHT FOR LIFE VAIN MRS. LULA LEWIS DIES OF ILLNESS OF FOUR WEEKS CRITICALLY ILL SINCE BIRTH OF CHILD AND LITTLE HOPE WAS HELD OUT FOR HER RECOVERY
Mrs. Lula Bell Lewis, wife of Charles Lewis, died last evening about 8 o'clock at their home, 31 Howder Street, at 33 years. She had been critically ill since the birth of a child four weeks ago.
Surviving Mrs. Lewis are the husband, six children, the oldest ten years old; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Gordon, and four brothers and two sisters. The children are Lyle, Gerald, Floyd, Leonard, Lillian and the baby. Brothers and sisters are: Harvey Gordon of Walla Walla, Washington; Mrs. Hershell Turner of Oak Shade, Ohio; Mrs. Ed Mulligen of Norfolk, Virginia; Harry Gordon of North Adams; Arthur Gordon of Bridgewater, Michigan and Earl Gordon of Hillsdale. All of the brothers and sisters are here except Harvey Gordon.
Mrs. Lewis who was formerly Lula Gordon had live in Hillsdale and Adams townships all of her life. She was born in Adams Township.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of George Gordon, 27 Mead Street, and burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
