Lydia Willets, the Quaker. The Name of Lydia Willets" mother is unknown. Only her first name, Judith, is known. In 1785 the following were named in the will of Hannah Mires/Myers Devondolf (Diffedoffy) of Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, New Jersey: Heirs: 1. Rachel (Martin) Drum 2. 3 dtrs of Rulef Fisher 3. LYDIA WILLETS SMITH 4. Sylvanus Smith 5. Sylvanus Willets Smith Question: Who was Hannah Mires/Myers? If she left her estate to the above named heirs...how, if at all, was she related? She had been married in 1757 - making her about the same age as Lydia, who was born in 1726. Was Hannah Myers a sister of someone in the Willetts family? Why were only 2 of Anthony and Lydia's children named in this will? Was Hannah Myers any relation at all? Were the Martin/Drum and Fishers related to the Willets or Smiths?
