See Darrell Wolcott, http://www.ancientwalesstudies.org/id92.html -- "The Pedigree of Ednywain Bendew" -- for untangling of these lines. (April 18, 2016, Anne Brannen, curator)

Please see Darrell Wolcott: Pedigree of "Ednowain Bendew II"; http://www.ancientwalesstudies.org/id92.html, [#58] (Steven Ferry, October 30, 2017.)

From Darrell Wolcott: The following sources say Angharad ferch Madog Llwyd ap Iorwerth Foel married Cynwrig ap Robert ap Iorwerth: Pen 129, 111 & 114: Pen 127, 127 & 133; Pen 128, 153a. But none of these name the mother of Angharad. These sources say that Madog Llwyd ap Iorwerth Foel married Marged ferch Llewelyn ap Ieuaf ap Adda ap Awr: Pen 131, 45 & 185; Pen 129, 56; Pen 127, 24 & 33. The two Pen 131 sources also say the mother of that Marged was Susanna ferch Llewelyn ap Madog ap Einion. But none of these sources say that Angharad was born of this marriage. In Lloyd's Powys Fadog Vol 4, 397 (which says its source is Harl 4181), it says the above was the 1st marriage of Madog Llwyd and that he married secondly, Dyddgu ferch Llewelyn ap Gronwy Fychan ap Gronwy ap Ednyfed Fychan, by whom he had two daughters, Angharad and Susan. This was also a second marriage of Dyddgu but only her first husband is shown on Bartrum's charts. Since this "source" is wholly consistent with the earlier Peniarth citations (so far as they went) and simply adds additional information which fits the timeline (Dyddgu was born c. 1305), I have included it in my charts as a valid 2nd marriage and 2nd set of children for Madog Llwyd. By his first wife (Marged), he had sons Gruffudd and Llewelyn and a daughter Gwladys. He may, or may not, have had a third son, Rhys. (Steven Ferry, June 4, 2018.)
