About Madolyn Ilene Kerns
Madolyn Ilene Kerns, 75, of Minerva, died Feb. 15, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born Nov. 15, 1927, in Pennsylvania to Melvin and Margaret (Morris) Headley. She was a loving wife and mother and devoted Christian who will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, Russell, whom she married Nov. 19, 1952; four daughters, Connie Pitts of Virginia, Rose and Mary Beth Kerns, both of Minerva, and Lisa McAllister of Scio; three sons, Michael of Alliance, Greg of Scio and Gary of Alliance; and one sister, Wilma McCollum of Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Debra Knight. Calling hours are 5-7 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Moultrie Cemetery. (2-17-03)
