Magdalena and two of her sisters all married three Trautman brothers according to Jost Hoffmann's will.

5 of her 6 children have been identified as being: Magdalena 1782-1850, Maria Elizabeth 1784-1859, Johannes 1786-1866, Michael 1788-1867 and Heinrich 1793-1850.

When records and gravestones were transcribed prior to 1963, she was recorded as nee Holsmamm. Some researchers have since declared she was not Holsman but Hoffman. There were two other sisters, one also buried here, one maiden name was recorded as Holsmanin and the other Hoffman. These names may have been used interchangeably during the period. The name Holsman is also recorded as Holtzman, Holsmann. N. Scheidt
