About Mainguy, Bishop (of Vannes?)
MAINGUY [M%C3%A9en] (-after 1082). "Defuncto…Guethenoco…filius eius Goscelinus" donated property to the abbey of Redon, by charter dated [1066/82], witnessed by "filius eius Maenguis episcopus, et Rogerius et Eudo et alii filii eius"[1057]. Tresvaux records that he was elected as Bishop of Vannes in 1066 but does not cite the primary source on which this is based[1058]. http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/BRITTANY.htm#_Toc284059618
Presumably born before 1037, as 30 was the minimum age to become a bishop. He was either not the oldest son, or extramarital.
