About Maj. Gen. William Williams
Became Major General of the militia of Connecticut, and served at the battle at Stonington, 1814. He m. Mercy Wheeler Sept. 27, 1787; she d. June 17, 1797. He m. 2d, Rhoda Babcock, Jan. 6, 1799; she d. Aug. 28, 1801. He m. for his 3d wife, Nancy or Ann Babcock Dec., 1804. He d. at Stonington May 15, 1838.
