About Maj. Ichabod Burnet
Ichabod Burnet was a New Jersey native who served as an aide de camp to Major General Nathanael Greene during the Revolutionary War. After General Benedict Arnold escaped to the British his aide, Major Andrea, was arrested, tried, and hung for treason in 1780. Major Burnet was his escort to the gallows.
Ichabod is the son of Dr. William Burnet and Mary Camp, he is buried with his grandmother Hannah and his uncle Ichabod Burnet Jr.
Ichabod died from "consumption" (Tuberculosis)
