  • "Roy worked for the CCC in 1941 He Volunteered for the U.S. Navy in 1942. He served during WWII as a radioman and gunner aboard various ships in the Atlantic and Pacific, and was honorably discharge in 1946.
  • "Roy Married Kathryn Mae Mason (Booze) on the 23rd of August 1946, in Pierre, Hughes County, South Dakota. During their marriage they had two children, Donna Raye Paradee, and Richard L. Paradee.

** "In Jan 1948 he was reactivated in the U.S. Navy and was transporting troops to Korea aboard the U.S.A.T. General D.E. Aultman. 

** "He went back to finish High School and received his diploma in 1949 at Burke High School.

Seymour, the mayor of Anaheim, and started their own company with the Realestators."
