The 1841 census gives details of her family including Mally's mother, Mally Kay, then aged 85. Mally's husband, Solomon, would appear to have passed away by 1841.

Following her husband's death, Mally Partington continued to farm her late husband's farm at Whittle Fold. The 1851 census states that the farm had 51 acres and employed four labourers.
She died in 1879, aged 88, in Bury.
