Manuel fell 23 feet at the construction site of the New Antlers Plaza Hotel. He died at 11:30 am Monday in the emergency room of Penrose Hospital of severe head injuries and a skull fracture and probably cerebral contusions. Police said that Hernandez was walking on the third floor of the construction site over and open area covered with plywood when the accident occurred. He apparently stepped on the edge of the covering which slipped and caused him to fall to the first level of the structure. Which is concrete.
