In two different passenger lists, one from 1924 and the other from 1925, we find divergent renderings of her name: Maria E. and Margarita. We can be sure it's the same person, since age, birthday of son Robert (Feb 8, 1923/Zanesville, OH) and address (128 Hull St., Crooksville, OH) are exactly the same.
Given that her nickname was Marquita, it is obvious that this is a corruption of spanish Margarita, meaning her complete name should have been María Margarita.
