About María Ygnacia García
UPDATE: DNA MATCH THAT SHE IS THE SISTER OF RAFAEL GARCIA, SON OF JUAN JOSE GARCIA. SHE IS IGNACIA CRISANTA. Family Tree Book (The F. W. Seabury Papers), a transcription of the original papers in The Center for American History at The University of Texas at Austin, transcribed and edited by Joel Rene Escobar, New Santander Press, Edinburg, TX, 1995, page109. Ignacia did not reveal her parentage to Seabury during his genealogical interviews. I've come to believe she did not want to reveal the close interpersonal relationship with the Garcia family. Her birth records were located confirming her parentage and as being the sister to Rafael Garcia. The story of their family is told in the parable El Mesquite written by their descendant Elena Zamora O'Shea. This parable is a loving remembrance of the lost culture of the ranching families of south Texas.
Daughter of Juan José García and María Ana Josefa Salinas Wife of José Marcelo Moreno Mother of Ana María Moreno García; María Juana Moreno García; María Gertrudis Moreno García; María Cayetana Moreno García and 6 others Sister of José Tomás García Salinas; Pedro José García Salinas; José María García Salinas and José Rafael García Salinas
