Marcia K. Yarbrough

Marcia K. Yarbrough, 69, of Fulton, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison. She was born Jan. 19, 1942, in Sterling, the daughter of John and Geneva (Wolf) Shierry. She married Gene Yarbrough on Aug. 3, 1981, in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2010. She retired from General Electric, Morrison. Survivors include three daughters, Leslie (Allen) Wagenecht of Morrison, Cheryl (Mike) Bratcher of Keller, Texas, and Jackie Collins of Fulton; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Valerie Shierry of Morrison and Nancy (Ray) Sharp of Fort Lavada, Texas; and two brothers, Darrell (Joan) Shierry of Iowa Park, Texas, and George "Tony" (Sandy) Shierry of Sterling. She also was preceded in death by one son, Mark Hurd; two sisters, Cynthia Shierry and Judy Carrington; and one brother, Robert Shierry. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Morrison, with the Rev. Mike Winkelman, pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, officiating. Burial will be at Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Happy Tails Animal Shelter, Rock Falls.
