About Margaret Campion

Margaret was born June 5, 1895 in Decatur, Illinois. She was the only daughter of Joseph Jerome McGinnity and Mary Redpath-McGinnity. She married Aloysius Charles Lappen on June 30, 1923 in Decatur, Illinois then moving to Brooklyn, New York.

Her Husband a WW1 Vet died March 22, 1944 in New York and is buried at Long Island National Cemetery in Long Island, New York. She and Aloysius had no children.

After her father Joseph Jerome McGinnity's death in 1929 she later marred Benedict Campion. She and Benedict had no children.

After a short stay in Florida she moved to California where she would live a long life to the age 89. She died July 20, 1984. She wanted to be buried with her parents and sister and the only way she could do this was to be cremated and burred between her parent's graves in Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester, OK.
