20 January 1646: Charter by David Craufurd of Kers, whereby, in implement of a contract (dated at Air and Skeldoun 27th and 31st December 1645) entered into between him, on the one part, and William Craufurd of Skeldoun with consent of Margaret Crawfurd, his spouse, on the other part, and for payment of the sum of 8380 merks Scots, he granted (under reversion) to them and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment and to the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, to the lawful and nearest heirs and assignees of the said William whomsoever (1) the lands of Auchinroy, Glenheid, Dannean, Lytill Shalloch and Dalcairnie, extending to a £5 land, with the grain-mill, mill-lands, multures etc., (occupied by the granter and his tenants) lying in the bailiary of Carrik and sheriffdom of Air (in which Margaret Chalmers, his spouse, was infeft in liferent in terms of their marriage contract), and (2) in warrandice thereof, the lands of Glenmuk, Dalfarsan, Pennyartour, Trevimax, Dalmacall, Drumfarn and Stobbinoch, with the grainmill called the Lytill Mylne, milllands, multures, houses etc. (occupied as above) lying in King's Kyle and sheriffdom foresaid, to which they were to have recourse if the said Margaret Chalmers survived the granter and they were evicted from the principal lands during the non-redemption thereof: To be held de me for payment of ld Scots in name of blench farm: With precept of sasine addressed to William Kennedy, servitor of the said William Craufurd.
