Margaret Mary Halfman

"Margaret remained single and is the one responsible for all the data on the family tree. She had once said that being single all her life she wanted to leave something in the way of a contribution to the family heirs. She took care of her mother Amelia until her death at the age of 95. She also took car of her sister, Helen, "Lenie" as we all knew her, until her death. Margaret made arrangements for her to be buried by Helen, her sister, by having a gravestone set for Helen with her name beside Helen's on the marker. I am forever grateful to her for allowing my sister Helen and I to take photos of her book. I wish we had gotten more but we have the direct line. It is 1998 and the last I heard was that our Gr. Aunt Margaret was in a nursing home, we have not heard otherwise. Imagine she did all that care giving and there was no one to care for her (or maybe she would not allow it, she was that kind of person)."
