Margaret Decatur "Kate" (Templeton) Robertson was born in Waxahachie. She married John E. Robertson, D.D.S. sometime between 1910 and 1920 and they had two children, John E. Robertson Jr. known as Pete and Pat Dyer Robertson (jokingly called Re-Pete). Kate and her family can be found in the 1930 census operating a boarding house for the University of Texas in Austin. In the 1910 census Dr. Robertson, age 29, can be found in as a bachelor boarder in a home in Forney, Texas. Dr. Robertson died of a heart attack at a fairly young age and Kate eventually moved back to Waxahachie and lived with her sister Brevard, first in the Templeton home on Kaufman Street and then in a home the sisters purchased together in the 700 block of W. Main Street also in Waxahachie. Brevard predeceased Kate, and Kate lived in the house on Main Street until her death. The sisters are both buried in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
